Heading off to Turkey Sunday. - Then off to Lake Van to See Akdamar Church

I arrive in Istanbul and will spend the night, but then I will fly to Van,  in Eastern Turkey.  In the backdrop, Mount Ararat should be viewable. This has been on my "bucket list" for years, and finally my dream is coming to fruition.  The church was built by King Gagik I, between 915-921 AD.  So this church is over 1,000 years old.   AMAZING.  I can't wait.
